Palace of Justice

When I was a student in law, I had the opportunity of practicing at the Forensic Institute. One of those autopsies I performed drew my attention in particular: it was a young man, a member of a religious creed who had refused medical assistance of any kind thinking that everything was going to be alright on natural ways and who died of a commonplace infection that could have been cured. I wondered back then why hadn’t he treated his problem? The forensic medical doctor could not answer this question either, and he assured me that there are frequent cases when people ignore the potential of medicine.

Later on, as a young lawyer, during the probation period, I had the opportunity to see a well-known architect who was the victim of a heart attack in the records of the court when passing the decree in his case. I found out later that the architect had not employed a lawyer and preferred to phrase his own defense and had lost because he had failed to plead a commonplace procedure plea, which could have been easily remedied by exercising the way of attack.

I understood then what is the role of the specialists in the various branches of science, namely to prevent and improve situations which, when left in God’s will, may have gloomy consequences. I understood how important problems in the existence of an individual, such as the medical or legal ones may have simple solutions such as an antibiotic, or a procedure exception, but only when they are submitted to a specialist in the field and when they are not ignored like in the above examples.

Therefore, I recommend everybody, irrespective of the religious faith, culture, education or qualification in your own line of business, to resort to the specialists of every field. They will find always the simplest and the more cost-effective way to solve your problem.
